VCR 06 (FPS 07) (Montalcino)
PLANT: Good vigor and medium productivity. Good general and basal fertility. Medium-small clusters, moderately compact. Medium-small berries, dark blue. Good Botrytis resistance.

WINE: Rich color, perfumed and spicy, with plum and cherry scents; robust, improves with aging. This and the VCR 23 were the preferred stand alone clones in microvinification tasting. Brunello clone.

VCR 19 (FPS 08) (Romagnolo)
PLANT: Vigorous, medium productivity. Good basal fertility. Adapted to hilly terrain, heavy soils. Rustic. Medium cluster, semi-compact with one Wing. Medium-small berries, thick skinned. Resistant to Botrytis.

WINE: Good color intensity, floral/spicy aromas. Adapted for moderate aging and blending. Originally from Emilia-Romagna.

VCR 23 (FPS 10) (Romagnolo)
PLANT: Good vigor, medium productivity. Medium general and basal fertility. Medium-small clusters, cylindrical, semi-compact. Smaller than average berries blue-black. Good Botrytis resistance.

WINE: Light ruby red; spicy aroma of cinnamon and black pepper; good body and polyphenois. Adapted for long aging and/or blending. Originally from Emilia-Romagna.

VCR 30 (FPS 09) (Lamole)
PLANT: Grosso. Medium vigor and production. Good general and basal fertility. Medium cylindrical clusters, semi-compact. Medium berries, dark blue. Resistant to Botrytis.

WINE: Fruity, spicy, good color and structure; adapted for Chianti blends; acquires finesse with aging.

VCR 102 (FPS 13)
PLANT: Clone of medium vigor, with constant productivity. It is included in the "prugnolo" bio-type. Medium-small cluster, with medium- small berry. The resulting wine is adaptable for middle and long aging. Deep ruby-red color, fruity aroma, and dry spicy taste with slight bitter finish.
